Homeowner Officer (12 Month FTC) – Sidcup, DA15

A great opportunity has arisen for an Homeowner Officer to join our Client based in Sidcup, DA15.

This role sits within the Homeownership Team, who are responsible for assisting homeowners to sell their homes.

The team deal with a varied workload and the job is fast paced, so to succeed in this role you must be customer focused and have a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Providing information to solicitors for prospective purchasers
  • Helping residents purchase further shares through the process called ‘staircasing’
  • Processing lease extensions
  • Re-mortgages and subletting requests
  • Administering the Right to Buy and Right to Acquire, and other purchase option schemes
  • Dealing with general lease enquiries, approvals, and restrictions.

The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:

  • As you will be dealing with customers, solicitors, mortgage lenders, surveyors, financial advisors and other internal departments it is desirable to have experience in property conveyancing processes and have knowledge of leasehold/shared ownership products
  • The role will require you to prepare written documentation to be sent to our customers, so experience of letter/report writing is essential.
  • It would also be an advantage to have experience gained from a housing or legal background
  • Be an excellent communicator and be able to multitask.
  • You need to have the ability to work on your own initiative and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail is also essential in this role
  • You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft products, and experience of using a CRM would be an advantage.

The hours will be:          

Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Salary range will be:     

£28,000pa to £31,0000pa
