Property Manager (Key Worker Services) – Redbridge/Ilford (3 Month Temp role)

Our Client are looking to appoint an Property Manager to join our team in Redbridge/Ilford on a 3 Month Temp.

Your role will be to manage Key Worker Services properties in Chadwell Heath. You will deliver a responsive, efficient and customer focused housing management service to residents and prospective residents. Ensuring our services meet and exceed customer service excellence. The successful candidate will be solution focused and will act as a champion of service improvement.


To assist in the delivery of departmental KPIs and to maximise the revenue on properties while minimising voids by identifying quality issues with properties.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Contributing to the team’s achievement of its objectives, whilst operating in line with the values and delivering the highest levels of customer service.
  • Acting as the ‘voice and face’, providing a resident focused service across all categories, e.g. tenancy, estates, having regard for resident satisfaction and financial strength at all times.
  • Ensuring own performance contributes towards team objectives and key performance of the business.
  • Ensuring properties are let in accordance with appropriate procedures and standards while confirming that all processes are implemented to minimise void periods within agreed parameters.
  • Working collaboratively with others to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Performing Estate Inspections/Health & Safety Checks and liaise with relevant partners be that internal and/or external to ensure delivery of repairs and improvements are commissioned and implemented to the residents’ satisfaction.
  • Maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Engaging with a range of stakeholders including residents, NHS, fire service, police and contractors.
  • Maintaining the necessary relevant records and documents ensuring that they are stored and maintaining effectively, in accordance with data protection.
  • Managing risks associated with areas under the jobholder’s control. Where appropriate, in accordance with policy, initiates legal process which may include the serving of notices.
  • Working collaboratively with fellow Property Managers to provide a first class service. You will provide a Housing Management service and take responsibility across both neighbourhood sites.
  • Demonstrable stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Innovative, solution focused with excellent organisational skills

The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:

  • Previous experience as a Property Manager is essential for this role as the successful individual.
  • Housing / ASB / Facilities management experience gained within a residential environment is desirable but not essential
  • You will demonstrate strong communication, business planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Essential experience of delivering customer focused services in a demanding, public facing environment.  -
  • Essential Housing sector experience.
  • Highly organised, able to manage and prioritise a demanding workload and attention to detail
  • Good relationship management or stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness of how operational matters impact on budgets and financial performance
  • Desirable understanding of relevant housing law.
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal.
  • Strong IT skills – MS Office suite
  • Full clean driving licence is essential

The hours will be:

Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm

Salary range will be:

between £15 to £17p/h
